The monthly average annual number of tourists is now around 1.8 million. The forecast predicts that the average will go
to 1.5 million people before tourists start to increase again.

The right-hand axis of the chart on the left shows that until mid-2017, the monthly average continued to increase proportionally. Since 2017, this has reversed significantly, and the situation is now such that the monthly annual average has been decreasing by 171,000. The monthly annual average is now around 1.8 million. Given the collapse of WOW and the reduction in other flight capacity, it is likely that the average will fall further this summer. WOW began to significantly reduce its capacity last September, so it can be expected that from September 2019, the 12-month average will finally stop falling.

The picture on the left shows this better. According to Arev, the 12-month average will fall until the end of the year, but will then start to rise again. The average will fall to 1.5 million by the end of the year, and the total number of tourists for the year 2019 will be around or over 1.5 million. Arev then set up two other scenarios. According to the optimistic scenario (the green line), the 12-month average number of tourists for the year 2019 will fall to 1.7 million and subsequently reverse. According to the pessimistic scenario (the yellow line), the 12-month average visitor number will fall to 1.3 million before it starts to grow again.
