At a meeting in Sjávarklasan in early March, mathematician Jón Scheving Thorsteinsson presented the results of Arev's analysis and review work on the risk assessment of genetic mixing and presented criticism of numerous aspects of the current risk assessment. Arev's work was done for the National Association of Fishing Associations.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Food, the Norwegian Marine Research Institute, the National Association of Fishing Associations, fishing rights holders and nature conservation organizations.
